Northeast Animal Rescue acquired a call regarding a stray girl dog who changed into seen wandering near an overpass. Locals could see her on occasion, on foot at the roadside, waiting for meals from passersby.
When rescuers arrived, they found out that she had become a nursing mother. Now the rescue went from saving one dog to saving but many dogs she had.
The mama canine was very nervous but knew that rescuers had been there to help, so she decided to guide them to her babies.
They followed her to a culvert pipe that the dogs had been hiding internally. Once mom delivered rescuers to her 5 toddlers, she wagged her tail and knew they were safe for the first time.
The mother went into the pipe, and the rescuer idea she might deliver her dogs out herself, however, she became around and walked again closer to the rescuers.
One of the rescuers, named Will, became able to crawl in the pipe and lightly grab all the dogs – 3 girls and two boys.
They brought the puppies and mama returned to their rescue, fed them, and stored them warm.
They determined to name the mama dog Sierra, who the rescued described as an “accountable and equipped mother.”
They named the dog's Holly, Willow, Magnolia, Alder, and Parker. Thanks to Sierra, all of her dogs are actually secure!
